Robbery near Rand Airport leaves four people injured

The vehicle, a white Volkswagen Kombi was recovered and the driver arrested, but all the other suspects are still at large.

An alleged armed robbery at The Beer Company, near the Rand Airport, has left four people injured.

At approximately 20:00 on Friday, March 31, a large group of armed men (exact number unknown) allegedly robbed the pub/nightclub and fired several shots, leaving four people injured, but in a stable condition. This is according to Chantal Peel from the National Paramedic Services.

According to sources, the vehicle, a white Volkswagen Kombi, was recovered and the driver arrested, but all the other suspects are still at large.

The South African Police Service is investigation the incident.
