BREAKING NEWS: Alberton woman raped and stabbed

At around 12:00 noon today, a man allegedly broke into a house on Humphreys Street, Southcrest, and raped and stabbed a woman before fleeing into the veld.

A WOMAN has allegedly been raped and stabbed, following a spate of serious crime plaguing Alberton of late.

At around 12:00 noon today, a man allegedly broke into a house on Humphreys Street, Southcrest, and raped and stabbed a woman before fleeing into the veld.

According to Elowayne Gouws, from Fox Security’s medical unit, they were awaiting backup, namely a helicopter and the Police K9 unit, to search for the suspect.

It is not yet known how serious the victim’s wounds are, but Gouws says the stabbing was not fatal.
