SIX heavily armed men targeted Trust Watchmakers and Jewellers in Alberton on April 5 at around 10:00.
According to a Fidelity security member, some of the men entered the store and broke the glass cases to get to the jewellery. “They were armed but no shots were fired due to people running away in the mall. They stole most of the jewellery and managed to escape in a silver Ford Figo with a fake number plate,” the security guard said.
Alberton SAPS were on scene and took down statements. No injuries were reported. The RECORD did ask for more information from the Alberton SAPS, but no feedback was given.
Be on the lookout for a silver Ford Figo and report it to the Alberton SAPS on 011 861 6800.
