Female burglar caught in the act

The suspect confessed to the police that she stole food and children's clothing.

AN unemployed mother of three staying in Leyland Street, Eden Park, was caught red-handed breaking into a house in Morris Street on Tuesday, April 25, at about 9am.

The woman was caught by a bricklayer who had arrived at the house to do some work.

She was climbing out of the toilet window when she was spotted by the bricklayer. When asked what she was doing there, she claimed she was related to the occupants.

The bricklayer alerted the police and the woman was arrested.

It was alleged by the homeowner that the woman is a habitual thief.

The suspect confessed to the police that she stole food and children’s clothing.

The 31-year-old woman was arrested and is in police custody.
