Legal authorities arrest burglars

One of them are wanted for another case.

THREE men were caught and arrested on June 22 by CPS Security, EMPD Drug Enforcement team and Alberton SAPS.

FOUND: Gloves, knives and a pick were found in their possession.

CPS Security’s officers did their daily patrol in the Alberton area and noted a suspicious silver Toyota Yaris and called for back up. According to Tyrone van der Merwe, sales manager from CPS Security, they managed to pull the vehicle over in Second Avenue near the KFC, and Indoor Sports Facilties, in Florentia.

SCENE: The vehicle was pulled over in Second Avenue.

After searching the car they found knives, gloves and a pick. On further investigation it was discovered that one of the suspects was positively connected to previous burglaries. He and the vehicle are linked to a case in Benoni.

WANTED: This vehicle was also used in a burglary in Benoni.

The suspects are being detained at Alberton Police Station and will appear in court soon.
