Castillian does 30-day donation challenge for AMCARE

The school received an awesome response from the families.

JUNIOR Colleges Castillian extended a 30-day donation challenge to all the Castillian families and staff to support AMCARE.

They started with this project on June 1 and they asked participants to remove one item from their home daily. “It could be an old blanket, an old jersey, a soap that you no longer want to use – anything that you no longer wear, use or need. Place it into the provided refuse bag,” said principal Elizabeth Steenkamp.

DONATIONS: Children with some of the staff from AMCARE.

“At the end of their 30-day challenge on June 30, the parents and children brought these items in their refuse bag and dropped it at Castillian’s reception.

“We donated all of the stuff to Amcare. We had a calendar count-down at reception showing our parents, children and families how many days we had left in our 30-day challenge,” Elizabeth added.

She thanked everyone who supported this project. “Thank you for opening your hearts so that others less fortunate can receive,” she said.
