THE community of Alberton is shocked after hearing that nothing has happened regarding the murder of Ané Jacobs (16) who was found on November 1 in a veld close to the Alberton rugby and soccer clubs.
Captian Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS told the RECORD that they are still investigating the murder and that no positive leads have come up yet.

The manager of the Farm Animals Unit for the NSPCA, Grace de Lange, was asked by two men to follow them and they led her to the body of the deceased.
“I thought I was going to be shown a dead dog or something but, coming closer, I realised that it was too big for that, then saw that it was a human body lying there,” said a distraught Grace.
“It’s a terrible thing, a real shock to the system; it’s hard to even put into words.”

Police report that there was visible bruising to Ané’s face, which could have been caused by an unknown object, and her head and neck seemed to be distorted and twisted. Friends and family are frustrated for not knowing what really happened to her.
SA Search and Rescue along with T.R.M Taurian Risk Management has been mandated by Ané Jacobs family to investigate the murder of Ané.
