BREAKING NEWS: Police investigate after another body is found

"The woman sustained injuries to the head and it looks like she was stoned to death"

The body of another woman has been found in Alrode South.

Around 9am on Tuesday, July 25, a woman, estimated to be between the age of 18 to 28, was found in an open field in Alrode South, opposite Thina Sonke in Extension four.

According to Sergeant Lindi Moloi, spokesperson for the Brackendowns Police Department, the woman sustained injuries to the head and it looks like she was stoned to death.

There is no estimated time of death at present and as yet there are no suspects, but the police are investigating.

“The modus operandi in this case seems different to the others. One difference is that there was no handbag found on the victim, as was the case with the others, which seemed to suggest they were looking for work,” says Moloi.
