Pizza Del Forno gives back something yummy

"I think it's important to give something back to the community and just do some good"

PIZZA Del Forno restaurant recently treated kids from The Hamlet School to a DIY Pizza.

On September 28, 45 learners, accompanied by five teachers from the school got the opportunity to make their own pizzas. They also received cold-drinks and ice-cream. These were generously supplied by Pizza Del Forno at the Marionette Mall, Meyersdal.

The children arrived by bus and once seated the restaurant brought each child a pizza base and a variety of toppings for each of them to make their pizza exactly how they wanted it and then it was popped in the pizza oven to enjoy once ready.

“I think it’s important to give something back to the community and just do some good,” said the owner of the restaurant, Fabio Da Silva Henriques, of the kind act.

SCHOOL OUTING: Learners from The Hamlet School arrive at their destination.

“We would like to thank Fabio and his team for their thoughtful gesture towards the learners of the school. This will form part of their life skills curriculum at our school,” said DC Joyce, the school’s principal.
