Kids enjoy free lesson from paramedics

The paramedics came and spoke to them and the children started asking lots of questions.

CHILDREN from the Abacus Kids Academy in Florentia recently got a free educational tour of an ambulance and they told them all about what paramedics do.

Paramedics from ER24 were getting lunch across the road from Abacus Kids when the curious children saw them and tried to get their attention.

The paramedics came and spoke to them and the children started asking lots of questions.

The children were enthralled by how the paramedics help people, why they put the sirens on, where the sick people are placed, etc.

The paramedics brought the ambulance around to give the children a closer look, pulling out the stretcher and showing them many of the instruments they use to treat patients, leaving the children in awe.

“It was an exciting learning experience for the children. It was a spur of the moment thing and it was very nice for the two ambulance people to come and teach the kids and show them something new,” said Roxane Gilbert from the school.
