A pedestrian has been knocked over and killed by a vehicle on corner Bloutulp and Jacoba Street in Verwoerdpark less than an hour ago (November 3). Two vehicles were involved in the accident and the driver of one of the vehicles has been transported to the Netcare Union Hospital.

It has been reported that there is blood running down the pavement.
A docket of culpable homicide and negligent driving has been opened. Emergency services are on the scene.
