THE crime prevention members of Alberton SAPS received information regarding a hijacked motor vehicle.They proceeded to the scene of the crime and found a suspect and parts of a Quantum vehicle which is alleged to have been hijacked as per a Johannesburg Central police case.

“At the same scene, another Quantum was recovered but was already chopped up. It was also alleged to have been taken by force from the owner,” said Alberton SAPS communication officer Captain Manare Ramotshela

The VIS specialists were tasked to the scene of the crime and they recovered, besides the Quantum and the other chopped up Quantum, a trailer that did not have a chassis number, a jammer and two Toyota Corollas. These were taken to the police station for further investigation.
