Kids get to learn more about animals

Little ones get to know more about feather friends and scaly bearded dragons.

FEATHERS and Scales were met with great excitement from the little ones who could not wait to get their hands on something feathery and soft, and some even brave enough to touch a snake.

CUTE: Come here you – let’s hug a while.

They visited Tiny Town Academy on February 5 to educate the children around the theme of feathered and scaled animals, reptiles and bugs.

The children got to touch, feel and discuss the fur, feathers, and scales of an owl, a hawk, a snake, a bearded dragon, a hissing cockroach, a hedgehog, a huge garden snail, a rabbit, a South American chinchilla and a millipede. They also had a look at a tarantula.

ALL SCALES: Sheldon Wetton introduces a bearded dragon to the little ones at Tiny Town.

Excitement made way for a fun morning of learning while Sheldon Wetton spoke to the children at their level of understanding and he soon had them hanging on his lips.

TIME TO LEARN: Sheldon Wetton from Feathers and Scales tells the little ones more about furry friends.

The little ones could not wait to go home to tell about all they had experienced in just one morning.

LOOK MOM: Not scared at all, this little one poses with a slithering snake.
CUDDLE: This little one just wants to hold the rabbit for a while longer.
NOT SURE: Being introduced to an owl left this little one wondering if it will be alright to reach out and touch it.
