BRACKENHURST Primary School, Alberton’s first primary school fully adapted to e-learning, is having “Water Wednesdays” where they collect water for Cape Town weekly until the end of February.

The RECORD visited the school on the morning of February 7 and was pleased to see hundreds of two and five-litre bottles standing in the school’s assembly square. These were donated by learners of the school and their families.
According to David Lawrenz, a tech teacher and sports activity co-ordinator at the school, even more water was collected in the previous weeks. As a reward for the learners who helped collect water, they get to have a non-uniform day.

Well done to everyone who donates water to those in need – please keep it up.
