Stolen car found in Packard Street

The car was allocated thanks to a tracking system.

EDEN Park seems to have become a centre to hide stolen or hijacked vehicles.

Captain Vusi Mhlophe from Eden Park SAPS told the RECORD that Eden Park SAPS are dealing with stolen and hijacked vehicles almost weekly.

A car, which was stolen in Pretoria, was found at a house in Packard Street on January 24 where the owner of the house was arrested.

The car was allocated thanks to a tracking system. Unfortunately, the white Volkswagen Polo was already being stripped when it was found. The engine and front suspension were already missing.

The owner of the house told the police that he bought the car from somebody else. He was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle which was then towed to Van Rhyn Deep.
