Stolen Polo found in Thokoza

Car found stripped in Thokoza area.

A GOLD Volkswagen Polo was stolen in the early hours of March 15 in the Alberton area.

“Ekurhuleni Metro Police (EMPD) Public Order Policing Unit members searched for the vehicle and an officer found it abandoned on the side of the road at about 7am on Malone Street, Extension One in the Thokoza area.

STOLEN: The car was stripped of its computer box when EMPD officers found it.

“The vehicle’s interior was badly stripped and the computer box was missing,” said Kobeli Mokheseng, EMPD media liaison officer.

Forensics were summoned to the scene to lift fingerprints and later the vehicle was towed to the SAPS Van Ryn Deep pound in Benoni for further investigations and safe-keeping.
