UPDATE: 4 arrested for house robbery at Blakeney Street in Glenvista

The suspects were spotted by a neighbour who quickly alerted the police. When the police arrived, the suspects fled and got into a white Corsa bakkie.

MONDEOR SAPS and K9 Unit arrested four suspects aged between 40 and 49 in connection with a house robbery that occurred early this morning at Blakeney Street in Glenvista.

SUSPECTS: To appear in the Magistrate’s Court soon.

The suspects were spotted by a neighbour who quickly alerted the police. When the police arrived, the suspects fled and got into a white Corsa bakkie. The police reacted by firing warning shots but the suspects drove off.

Mondeor SAPS, a police chopper and K9 Unit gave chase and managed to stop the vehicle in Klipriver Road. Two firearms with serial numbers filed off were found and ammunition was recovered.

RECOVERED: The police was able to recover ammunition.

The suspects are being detained at Mondeor Police Station and will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon. Station commander of Mondeor Colonel JJ Bezuidenhout commended the police, security officers, CPF members and the community for working together to ensure quick reaction that led to the arrest of the suspects.
