CAT to the value of over R80 000 was seized by EMPD and one man was also arrested.
On May 15 around 9am EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members, while on routine patrols in Eden Park, were approached by members of the community complaining about a man involved in selling drugs.
The metro police reacted to the information and were able to make one arrest and seized Cat valued at over R80 000 at the house the community pointed out.
On searching the man’s home, metro police found 304 small packets of Cat valued at R60 800 and two packets of Cat in rock form valued at R23 000. Cash amounting to R32 159, suspected to be proceeds from drug-peddling, was also found in the house.
The 33-year-old suspect was detained at Eden Park Police Station on charges of possession and dealing in narcotics. He is expected to appear in the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
