Bloody body of young woman found opposite Alberton Dam

Her boyfriend came to the scene to witness.

THE bloody body of a young female was found in the veld in Bloutulp Road, opposite the Alberton Dam on June 5.

After receiving a call from a member of the public, Alberton CPF patrollers were dispatched to the scene and found the body hidden in the bushes.

Alberton SAPS were informed and National Paramedical Services certified the young female as deceased.

“Our crew wasn’t able to estimate her age due to the severity of her injuries,” said Chantal Peel, a paramedic.

Captain Manare Ramotshela, spokesperson for Alberton SAPS, told the RECORD they were informed about a body at about 1pm on June 5.

He further stated that the members responded to the scene of the crime where the body of a young lady was found.

“The victim had several stab wounds on the upper body and the body was taken to the Germiston mortuary. It was discovered that she had a boyfriend not far from the scene. Her boyfriend came to the scene to witness.

“The management of Alberton SAPS is pleading with anybody who may have any information regarding this matter to come forth to the police or call them. It will be highly appreciated,” said Ramotshela.
