House break-in suspect arrested in Meyersdal

Officers caught him in the drains.

A MAN was arrested recently after he broke into a property in Miller’s Place in Meyersdal.

Fox Security’s control room received a call from a client informing them about a break-in in progress in a resident’s garage.

Reaction and tactical units responded and upon arrival they found the suspect jumping over the wall of the property.

He was chased through Meyersdal over the R59 towards Randhart where he entered the stormwater drainage system.

Officers closed off all the exits to the drains and apprehended him inside the drainage system. He was handed over to Brackendowns SAPS.
