Wanted business break-in suspect finally caught in Alberton North

Two men were spotted attempting to break in to a business premise. After the tactical team tried to approach them, one managed to run away while the second was caught by one of the officers.

CPS SECURITY’S tactical team arrested a wanted suspect on August 6 at 1am in Martinus Oosthuizen Road in Alberton North.

Two men were spotted attempting to break in to a business premise. After the tactical team tried to approach them, one managed to run away while the second was caught by one of the officers.

Residents of Elandshaven and Alberton North have been complaining about house burglaries in the early mornings. “They have been busy in these areas stealing laptops, TVs and other electrical equipment. They are also very aggressive and have managed to stab a person. We believe that this suspect is linked to the recent increase of break-ins in the Elandshaven area,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director of CPS Security. A balaclava, knife, gloves and house break-in equipment were found in the suspect’s possession.

On further investigation it was discovered that the suspect was wanted for several cases including possession of an unlicensed firearm.The suspect is being detained at Alberton SAPS.
