JUNIOR Colleges Castillian showed their support for Women’s Day by selling Buttons for Cancer.
The little ones together with the teachers sold the buttons which will go toward patients in need.
“I encourage you to take time to reflect on what being a woman means today, why we should be proud to celebrate International Women’s Day, and why the sky’s the limit for women across the world.
“Being a woman in 2018 means being a warrior for change. Each day I try to be aware of what I have been afforded, and I am grateful for the tools I was given. We not only just celebrate those women, but will call for all women to use whatever privilege they have, that was hard-won, to speak up, shout out and forge forward.
“As Mother Teresa once said: We cannot change the world alone, but we can cast a stone across water to create many ripples. Happy Women’s Day to all women in the 21st century,” said the principal, Elizabeth Steenkamp.
