Man arrested for allegedly stealing post box covers

The suspect tried to run away from officers.

A MAN was arrested in the early hours of August 27 by CPS Security.

On a routine patrol, an officer from their tactical team spotted a suspicious-looking man walking in Elizabeth Eybers Street at approximately 3.30am.

FOUND: This was found in the suspect’s possession.

As they approached him, he immediately started to run. The suspect was arrested and stolen post box covers were found in his possession.

A case of suspected stolen goods was opened and the suspect was taken to Alberton SAPS.
