Bracken High academic honours evening

Rhys Ners won the Achiever of the Year award and Leanne van der Meij the Dux Scholar award.

BRACKEN High School held their annual academic honours evening on October 18.

On the evening, Leanne van der Meij was awarded several trophies which include Top Student in math, English, geography, physical science and life sciences. Leanne managed to achieve an average of 88 per cent over the year. She was awarded the Dux Scholar award for her academic achievements.

Head boy Rhys Ners received the Achiever of the Year award for his dedication and commitment to Bracken High. Rhys demonstrated excellent leadership and sportsmanship during his tenure at Bracken High. Rhys was deputy chairperson in the SRC, played first team rugby and maintained an academic average of over 70 per cent throughout the year.

DEDICATION: Rhys Ners recieved the Achiever of the Year award.
