Alberton north stabbing murder case postponed

The case will resume on December 7 after further investigations have been completed.

A MAN, Rahmont Mitchel, accused of murdering David Stephan Jacobs with a knife in May, appeared in Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on November 7.

The incident that led to the death of Jacobs occurred on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Gerrit Maritz Street. The accused reportedly attacked Jacobs, allegedly fatally stabbed him and fled the scene. The accused was arrested on May 30.

The case has been postponed until December 7 for further investigation to be conducted. The accused is currently out on bail of R2 000.
