Robbers target jewellery store in Alberton City

The suspects fled the scene in a black Mazda with false number plates.

ON January 13, three men, of which one was armed with a gun, entered the NWJ jewellery store in Alberton City.

The robbers allegedly entered the building at around 8.30am and stole jewellery from display cases at the store.

No one was injured during the robbery. The suspects allegedly fled the scene in a black Mazda.

According to Captain Manare Ramotshela, spokesperson for Alberton SAPS, the vehicle used had false number plates.

No arrests have been made but investigations are continuing.
