UPDATE: Body of 2-year-old boy found cut into pieces at railway tracks under Rivett Carnett Street

His body was apparently cut into two pieces.

At about 04:30, January 21, police discovered a body of a two year old boy at the railway line under Rivett Carnett Street. His body was apparently cut into two pieces. He has been identified by his mother.

According to Colonel Lungelo Dlamini-Provincial spokesperson, Police will investigate the allegations that he was thrown into a railway. It is unknown at this stage whether he was still alive or dead. There will be a post mortem to determine the cause of death.

A murder case will be opened for investigation and police will be following the allegations of suspected person(s), added Colonel Lungelo Dlamini-Provincial spokesperson.
