Romano Mitchel to receive legal aid before next appearance

Mitchel is set to appear again on February 12.

ROMANO Mitchel, who stands accused of the murder of Stephan Jacobs, appeared for the first time in the regional court of Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on January 21.

Despite the magistrate of the district court informing Mitchel that he should have legal representation by this date, he did not have representation. The option of making use of state legal aid was offered to Mitchel who accepted the offer.

Mitchel is expected to appear in the regional court again on February 12.
