KOBUS Walker bids farewell to Frances Vorwerg School after working there for 27 years.

Kobus (57), a married man, father of two sons and resident of Brackenhurst, will be retiring from his position as deputy principal after 27 years. He started his career there in 1991, and finally, his last day is scheduled for January 31.

“I have seen many people come and go through the years, but I’ve also made a lot of friends whom I shall always remember fondly,” Kobus said.

His plans after retiring include “vacationing” and relaxing at home for the next year. After that, he would like to become involved in his youngest son’s business of wooden jewellery and ornaments.

Kobus shares his last message to the school’s staff and learners: “Thank you very much for all the support and friendship from everyone at the school. To the staff – keep up the wonderful work that you do for our learners. To the learners: persevere with your hard work and build your futures upon it.”
