TWO men were arrested on the corner of 2nd Avenue and Helston Road on March 30 after they robbed a man of his cellphone, wallet and other belongings.
According to Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director at CPS Security, the suspects fled on foot towards Alberton City. Their control room was contacted and reaction units were dispatched to assist. A member of the public stopped to assist the victim, which resulted in both suspects being apprehended.
Both men were arrested and taken into custody by Alberton SAPS.
