Tireless Alberton SAPS probing pays off

Alberton SAPS recovered stolen goods on May 9, which were reported stolen the previous year at Alrode, and a case was opened with the police.

ALBERTON SAPS recovered stolen goods on May 9, reportedly stolen the previous year at Alrode, and a case was opened with the police.

However, the stolen goods, consisting of a trailer containing steel, were not recovered at the time.

On May 9, at about 3pm, the police investigated a complaint at a company in Roodekop. A male suspect employed at the company was taken in for questioning which led to him being arrested and taken into custody for possession of stolen goods as reported in 2018.

After tireless investigations, Alberton SAPS made a breakthrough thanks to Sgt Choene Frans Ramotshela and his crew.

Alberton SAPS spokesperson Capt Manare Ramotshela said: “The SAPS men and women did a thorough work and gathered as much information for prosecution presentation within the court of law. The male will soon be facing the charges of alleged criminal activities as per the Alberton case.”
