The vehicle was later recovered abandoned.

AN armed robbery took place on Thursday, June 13 in Liefde en Vrede in a townhouse complex. Three males, two armed with firearms, held two security guards at gunpoint at the main entrance to the complex, locking them in the toilet of the guardhouse.

The suspects proceeded into the complex, where they threatened a domestic worker who was looking after two children. The suspects took a safe, jewellery, a bag full of important documents, a cell phone, and a silver Mercedes Benz C-Class.

They left the scene after locking the children inside the house and took the domestic worker with them, who left with her ID document and other documents which could lead to her whereabouts.
