SAPS has confirmed that a case of concealed of birth has been opened following the discovery of the body of a baby in a drain in Alberton Boulevard on June 18.
The body was found by municipal workers attending to a blocked drain who discovered the body after the drain was cleared.
The case is being investigated by the detective branch of Alberton SAPS. No arrests have been made.
