Cops nab two suspects dealing in drugs in Eden Park

Cops seize in a house 66 ziplocks of khat with an estimated street value of R13 500

SWIFT action by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit resulted in the arrest of two suspects found in possession of khat today (June 27).

The unit acted on information received about drug dealing on Leyland Street in Eden Park.

Two people, a man and a female, were found in possession of khat, and were arrested.

The drug unit uncovered 66 ziplocks of khat estimated to have a street value of R13 500.The unit also confiscated R4 830 cash believed to be proceeds of illicit sales of narcotics.

The arrested pair, aged 26 and 46, was detained at Eden Park SAPS on charges of possession and dealing in narcotics.

They are expected to appear in the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court.
