A TIP-OFF resulted in the arrest of a woman and drugs with a street value of over R40 000 confiscated.
The woman was arrested by EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit in Eden Park on July 5.
EMPD officers raided the house of the suspect finding crystal methamphetamine and Khat.
The confiscated drugs consisted of 131 ziplocks of Khat, a larger ziplock bag with Khat and 11 ziplock bags of methamphetamine.
The officers also seized R590 believed to be proceeds from the suspect’s illicit dealings.
The suspect, aged 29, was arrested and detained at Eden Park Police Station.
She was charged with possession and dealing in narcotics.
She was expected to appear in Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
