
THE EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit took two drug peddlers off Eden Park streets on August 16.
While on patrol in the area around 9.45am, officers stopped a 47-year-old male on Achmat Dangor Street.
He was found in possession of three ziplock bags of Khat worth R900.
Fifteen minutes later, on Leyland Street, a strange-acting female suspect was stopped and searched.
Officers found a ziplock bag of Khat worth R300 on the 46-year-old.
Both suspects were arrested and taken to Eden Park Police Station, where they were charged with possession and dealing in narcotics.
