Two burnt bodies were found in Mandela Section, Katlehong, on Friday morning.
Katlehong North SAPS spokesperson Capt Lesiba Mathobela said the matter was being handled by the provincial office.
Gauteng SAPS spokesperson Col Lungelo Dlamini said, “The police are currently investigating a matter of two burnt bodies which were found in Mandela Section, Katlehong.
“The bodies have not yet been identified, so we can not say if they were foreign nationals or not.”
According to Mathabela, it is suspected that the bodies may have been of Mozambican nationals.
