EMPD has confirmed that a case of culpable homicide has been opened following a crash on Michelle Avenue on September 8.
The driver of one of the vehicles died in the accident.
According to media liaison officer for EMPD Alberton Kobeli Mokheseng SAPS, detectives will investigate further, but no arrests have yet been made.
