Alberton High learners excel at eisteddfod

ALBERTON High learners proved their exceptional talent on over four dance categories, while competing with other secondary schools, at the Alberton Eisteddfod, in Covenant College, on September 10.

ALBERTON High learners proved their exceptional talent on over four dance categories, while competing with other secondary schools, at the Alberton Eisteddfod, held at Covenant College, on September 10.

Primary and high schools in Alberton and surrounding regions took part in the eisteddfod. The girls from Alberton High who competed at the competition were in Grades 10 to 12. Caitlin Myers came in first place, while Montana Sanders was chosen in second place, and in third place was Zoë Mountjoy in the dance category.

The girls’ choir from Alberton High was also awarded first place. It was represented by Joleen Antonie, the choir president.

In the English category, contested by secondary schools, Leandri Buitendag came in second and for vocal backtracks, Andrea Augustine was placed third.
