Parklands High School’s best performing learners took a second place on October 12 during the provincial Olympiads.
The Grade Nine learners participated in the economic and management sciences (EMS) division in Pretoria.
They competed against other schools which comprise 32 groups and where they were tested within the EMS subject and other categories.
A proud EMS teacher at the school, Nokuthula Nkosi, commended the learners for the job well done and putting the school on the map.
“Despite our learners not being able to bring the trophy home, we are proud of their hard work. Since our learners had a second place tie, they ended in position seven out of 32,” she said.
