The Frances Vorwerg School learner is one of many children who is disabled, but never allows his condition to stop him from being one of the best swimmers.

The 16-year-old, who is under Aqua Warriors Club, is going to represent his team at the summer Central Games Athletics (CGA) on December 8.

The Crestville-based superstar aims to impress at the CGA tournament in order to participate in a swimming competition overseas in 2020.

Hoffman said swimming has helped him emotionally and spiritually on so many levels.

“Swimming has given me a purpose in life and helped me learn how to overcome certain challenges,” said Hoffman.

Hoffman’s coach Neal Crawford told the COURIER / CHRONICLE / RECORD that the boy is a hard-working individual.

“I see him competing in the Summer Olympics in the coming years. I believe in him. He’s respectful and lovely and he will make us proud come December 8,” said Crawford.
