Grade Eight and Nine learners from Parklands High School were graciously given New Testament Bibles on February 11 by Gideons International.
As part of their annual visit to the school, they visited the learners and distributed Bibles and also shared preaching with them.
The Gideons International in South Africa is an association of Christian business and professional men who are members of evangelical churches.
On the same morning, learners also received a pep talk from a few members of the Alberton SAPS.
A representative from South African National Council on Alcoholism (SANCA) also touched on societal issues that affect them.
