Vigilance leads to arrest

All stolen items were recovered.

Three suspects were arrested at the Lemon Tree Shopping Centre on February 11 with the help of a CPS Security client.

According to Tyrone van der Merwe, CPS Security sales director, they received a call from a client who saw the suspects getting into a getaway car before racing off.

The client then followed the suspects and notified CPS Security.

A high-speed chase ensued between the suspects and CPS Security.

“We managed to pull them over and they were taken back to the shopping centre, where they were arrested for theft as they stole items from Clicks,” he said.

All stolen items were recovered and the suspects are being detained at Alberton SAPS.
