
An Eden Park suspect was arrested by patrolling Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit following a body search on February 23.
Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of three ziplocks of khat valued at R600 and R209 believed to be proceeds from possible illegal trading.
According to Kobeli Mokheseng, EMPD spokesperson, the suspect was found idling on Studebaker Road before narcotics were confiscated.
He was detained at the Eden Park police station and was charged with possession of and dealing in illicit substance.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
