Break-in at shopping centre

Robbers in Eden Park continue to make the lives of shop owners a challenge to continue their trade.

EDEN PARK – Late on Saturday March 8 the shop owner of the shopping centre, D Paulsen, closed for business as he usually did.

But on opening the shop on Sunday morning, a surprise was waiting for him and his staff.

“The burglars entered through the roof and broke a big hole in the ceiling to get in. They stole all the cigarettes, sweets, Simba chips and airtime vouchers.

“They left the shop in a mess,” said Paulsen. A case was opened and the police are investigating the theft.

The break-in is the fifth at the shopping centre and all were done in the same fashion, though the roof.
