Zeenith Domingo director at the Alberton Child Welfare said they have been relying on Lions Club Alberton for the provision of food parcels for their needy families.

“If we get a report that a child or children may be at risk, we conduct an investigation into the risk and safety factors. This risk assessment includes looking into the food security issues for the children and families,” said Domingo.

She said they take pride in providing an essential service to children and their families, as they focus on child protection issues.

“There are matters that are in abeyance and the family cannot access any form of government funding. We would appreciate donations in kind for non-perishable food items. We would appreciate your consideration on this matter,” she said.
