Special votes registration now open

A notice for those who would like to vote and are either disabled or suffer from an illness.

ALBERTON – Any resident who is not able to get to voting stations of May 7 due to disability or illness may apply for a special vote.

The form is called Appendix 1 that can be obtained from the IEC office on the third floor at the Alberton Town Council or from the councillors.

It needs to be filled in and handed to the IEC office before April 17. This will allow the elderly to vote on either May 5 or 6 at the voting stations or if they are totally forbidden or in hospital, then the IEC will do a home or hospital visit.
