Drunken driver smashes into police vehicle

ALBERTON – Police officers escaped uninjured when a drunken BMW driver smashed into a police vehicle parked in front of the police station on May 4 at around 14:00.

One officer went inside leaving his colleague in the car. The BMW bumped into the police vehicle and no one was injured.

A case was opened on May 4. Charges for drunken driving with accident was opened against the suspect, who appeared at the Palm Ridge Court on May 6.

The outcome of the case will be determined according to the information provided by the court to SAPS Alberton.
