Alberton High school netball team news:

Netball at Alberton High School certainly caused a stir amongst netball playing schools in the D16 Medium schools league this year, with a total of seven out of the nine teams from Alberton High School advancing to the District play-offs, which were held at HS Oosterlig recently.

Special mention must be made of the schools U16B and first teams for being crowned District 16 Champions in their respective leagues, beating HS Oosterlig in both age group finals.

In the process, history was made at Alberton High School with the first team advancing on to the Ekuhuruleni Finals against HS Brandwag from Benoni. Unfortunately, to cap off what can only be described as a remarkable achievement, “The Blue” lost 14-15.
