Electric cables stolen in Alberton North – Power out

ALBERTON NORTH – Please be aware that in the Alberton North region, cables have been stolen.

According to a female resident in the area, the substation in Gerrit Maritz and Hendrik Potgieter was vandalised and numerous inquiries have been directed to the EMM regarding the problem. She investigated the substation and found it to be vandalised.

The 10th Avenue cable theft problem was escalated to the EMM. The RECORD is awaiting the outcome of the EMM’s report.
